Fall Online Marketing Intern

Want to join a growing specialty food company in Vermont?


Green Mountain Mustard, known for making mustard differently, is seeking an online marketing intern for the fall semester. 


Our mustard is available in over 200 retailers across New England and every summer at the Burlington Farmer’s Market. And we need your help to get GMM into more hands (err, mouths!).


This is your chance to dive in and get your hands dirty with a small, growing food company. We won’t make you get coffee, make copies of things, and count stuff. This is serious down-in-the-trenches marketing experience.

Let’s get down to business:
We’re looking for a marketing machine, a curator of consistent content. And most importantly, someone whose smile goes miles.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Curate, manage, and promote Green Mountain Mustard Social Media Accounts

  • Promote Green Mountain Mustard's YouTube Channel, MustardTV.

  • Help to build an email list through and

  • Develop and promote contests and giveaways using online tools to build email list

  • Test & Run Facebook Advertising to current and prospective fans


What you should be a rockstar at:


  • Experience with Facebook, YouTube, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience planning and executing a social media plan a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to execute wild & outrageous marketing tactics.

  • Passion and desire for food, cooking, and farmer’s markets.

  • If you routinely purchase Green Mountain Mustard, you move to the front of the line.

The details

  • The internship is 10-15 hours a week for 10 weeks.

  • Internships for credit are cool

  • If you’re killing it, we could work out an extended internship

  • We have no office, so this internship would likely be remote with weekly scheduled check-ins via Google Hangouts

  • Pay is a $500 stipend at the end of the 10 weeks.
